How do I book the studio?
Bookings made privately (not through Peerspace) can be arranged via email or phone. We’ll confirm availability, send an invoice + agreement, and your session is secured once payment is received.
What is the minimum booking?
Our minimum booking is 6 hours.
Do you offer discounts for longer bookings?
Yes — through Peerspace, we offer 15% off for bookings of 8+ hours. For private bookings (email or phone), we may offer exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
Can I scout the space before booking?
Yes, we offer 15-minute walkthroughs by appointment.
What is your cancellation policy?
Guests may cancel their booking:
• 7+ days before the event: full refund (including all Peerspace fees).
• Between 7 days and 24 hours before the event: 50% refund (excluding fees).
• Within 24 hours: non-refundable.
Do you charge overtime?
Yes. Overtime is billed in 30-minute increments at 1.5× your hourly rate. All overtime must be approved during the session.
How do I pay?
Private bookings: card, ACH, or invoice. Peerspace bookings: handled directly on the platform.
Is a deposit required?
Yes — private bookings require a 50% deposit to confirm. Remaining balance is due 48 hours before your call time.
Do you require insurance?
Yes. All productions must provide a Certificate of Insurance listing Chambers Studio / Chambers Collective LLC as additionally insured. General Liability: $1M per occurrence / $2M aggregate.
Is there a security deposit?
A refundable hold may be required depending on production type, crew size, or gear usage.
Where are you located and how do we access the studio?
Ventura, CA. Access instructions and the day-of door code are provided after payment and paperwork are complete.
What’s the parking situation?
Free street parking is available. One 10-minute loading zone is located by the entrance for unloading gear.
Is load-in/load-out included in our booking?
Yes — all setup and teardown time must be contained within your booked hours.
How many people can we bring?
Maximum occupancy is 20 people.
Do you have natural light?
Minimal natural light. The space is designed for controlled, cinematic lighting.
What is the ceiling height and power?
Ceiling height is approx. 10–12 ft. Multiple standard 20A circuits are available. Please confirm before using high-draw units.
Do you provide heating/AC, Wi-Fi, and a restroom?
Yes — fast Wi-Fi, climate control, and a private restroom.
Do you offer backdrops?
Seamless paper is available upon request (charged per used or dirty pull).
Can we rent lighting and grip?
Yes — we offer Aputure, Profoto, and basic grip gear. A gear list and rates are provided upon inquiry.
Can we bring our own equipment?
Yes. Use sandbags on all stands and protect floors and walls appropriately.
Do you allow haze, liquids, glitter, or confetti?
Haze is allowed with prior approval and ventilation. No glitter, confetti, powder, paint splatter, or open flames. Liquids must be contained and pre-approved.
Can we bring pets or children?
Pets require approval and a handler. Minors must be accompanied by a guardian. Artistic nudity is allowed; no adult content production.
Are food and drinks allowed?
Yes — catered food is allowed. Keep drinks covered and away from gear.
What is the cleaning policy?
Leave the studio as you found it. Excess mess or damage may incur a cleaning or repair fee (minimum $100).
How do check-in and check-out work?
Text us upon arrival. A brief walkthrough is done at wrap to confirm the condition and time.
What if something gets damaged?
Please inform us immediately. Clients are responsible for repair or replacement of any damaged items, floors, or fixtures.
